Tumbleweeds have taken over Beijing yet again as millions of migrant workers living in China’s usually cramped capital city have started their journey back home for Chinese New Year.
Images of Trump inauguration level crowds around Beijing have spread across Chinese social media. You can compare them to those snapshots of Spring Festival travel mayhem from last week. This year, from January 13th to February 21st, an estimated 2.98 billion trips will be made nationwide in the largest migration in human history.
In case you haven’t noticed, the same kind of thing is happening in Shanghai.
Enjoy it while it lasts.
