While Donald Trump has regularly damaged US-China relations since his electoral college victory last November, perhaps the innocent and sweet voice of his 5-year-old granddaughter will be enough to mend them again.
Ivanka Trump just posted a video onto her Instagram account of her daughter Arabella Kushner singing a song in Mandarin to mark Chinese New Year with the help of a dragon puppet.
We can only assume that it won’t take long for this video to blow up on the Chinese internet and for holiday cheer to overcome threats of war. Last year, Arabella won over China with a video of herself reciting Chinese poetry for Spring Festival.
Really, it’s a wonder that Trump hasn’t appointed this little girl into his administration yet.
However, the future ambassador to China did make a “surprise appearance” along with her mother recently at the Chinese Embassy in Washington D.C. to take in the Spring Festival festivities. The pair met with Chinese Ambassador to the US Cui Tiankai, sampled some sugar sculptures and listened to some traditional Chinese music.
