Where to go, what to do today in Shanghai.
Holzwege @ ShanghART West Bund
Catch the last day of the Holzwege exhibit at ShanghART, where works of renowned Chinese artists such as Zeng Fanzhi, Ding Yi, Zhang Enli, Yang Fudong and Xu Zhen are showcased, alongside works by emerging artists from China, such as Sun Xun, Zhao Yang and Ouyang Chun. Overseas artists are also included such as Jörg Immendorff and Apichatpong Weerasethakul, initiating rich and diverse new dialogues between local and international art communities. Each work stands on its own, and yet the theme of the exhibition resonates through all of them, as each artist expresses his/her own way of finding the ‘Holzweg’.

First solo show of Beijing-based artist, Lin Ke, This exhibition continues Lin’s long-term interest in the behavioral science of our computer age by turning himself into his own guinea pig. Having converted his laptop into a studio, Lin mines the mundane actions of software operations and Internet surfing as the fodder and form of his art. As we increasingly experience life mediated by computing devices, Lin Ke helps define the boundaries of a growing reality gap.
