Frozen Planet @ Shanghai Children Art Theatre
Head down to the Children’s Art Theatre and immerse yourself in the frozen wilderness of the Polar regions, through the BBC documentary, Frozen Planet. Beautiful and breathtaking, it shows the lives of animals living in the Tundra and South Pole and the environment to which they live in. The series also includes George Fenton’s score and performed by Shanghai Opera House Orchestra. Screenings are at 2.30pm and 7.30pm, and tickets range from ¥280.

Cabaret Show @ The Pearl
Head down to The Pearl and have a cabaret experience unlike any other in Shanghai. Laputa: Castle in the Sky Concert @ Hongqiao Art Centre
It’s not Disney on Ice, but this multimedia concert ‘Laputa: Castle in the Sky Concert’ features songs from Studio Ghibli animated classics – including the eponymous Laputa: Castle in the Sky, as well as Kiki’s Delivery Service, My Neighbour Totoro, Princess Mononoke and the Oscar-winning Spirited Away. The concert starts at 7.30pm at the Hongqiao Art Centre and tickets range from ¥180 to 580.

Head down to Wang Dawei’s ‘Loners’ exhibition at FQ projects. On display is 15 new oil paintings that he created in his recent stay in the USA. His inspiration was drawn from how he felt isolated (due to language barriers) when he was in the US.
