At 105 years old, Li Yuzhen is one of the world’s oldest and most experienced photographers.
Li says she’s been a shutterbug for the past 64 years. Her love for photography began when she married her husband in 1953. He owned a small photo studio in Guangdong province, and taught her everything that he knew, China Daily reports.
Over the years, Li honed her skills behind the camera and in the dark room. Eventually, she became the manager of another photo studio and witnessed the development of photography in China over the decades from black-and-white to digital.
Nowadays, Li helps out at a vintage photo studio in the town of Lianhui in Guangxi that is owned by her daughter.
She says her favorite thing to photograph is her only family.
A love for photography runs in the blood of Li’s family. Here she takes the time to give some tips to her great-granddaughter after the little girl snapped a few pics on a smart phone.
