Over the weekend, police in Wuhan showed off their new toy — a drone killing gun.
We’re a little fuzzy on the mechanics of this weapon, but apparently it uses radio waves to disrupt the signals transmitted to a drone flying in the air, forcing it to land. Wuhan police showed off its awesome power outside of a football stadium on Saturday. Reportedly, police will soon be equipped with 20 of these babies to fight off any incoming aerial invasion.
While anti-drone guns may be cool and all, we think an even more effective method of knocking illegal drones out of the sky would be for police to utilize those fire-breathing drones that Chinese utility companies use to clear rubbish off power lines.
