A woman in Chongqing stopped traffic on Sunday by scattering a fat stack of cash onto the street at a busy intersection.
Surveillance camera footage shows the young woman haphazardly discarding the banknotes from her purse while strolling across the road, much to the befuddlement of passersby.
Police were called to the scene, and they helped pick up all the cash, which amounted to 16,369 yuan ($2,373) in total. They later tracked down the woman and gave her back all the money.
As for why exactly she had decided to randomly make it rain, the woman told police that she had been in a “bad mood” at the time.
