Tourists taking a stroll along the north end of the Bund last Friday night were surprised to have their view of the iconic Pudong skyline blocked by the world’s largest loop-to-loop.
On the bright side, they did get to watch as veteran stuntman Terry Grant revved his Jaguar F-Pace up to 80 kilometers per hour before driving through the 19-meter tall loop while handling 6.5 G-force like he’s done this thing before.
Because he has! Unfortunately, this feat will not count as a world record because Grant has already completed this very large loop in the past. He first drove through the loop during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show to demonstrate the F-Pace’s capabilities.
Honestly, we’re a little surprised that Shanghai officials didn’t insist on making the loop a wee bit larger for this run.
