Along with the advent of the warm, spring season, Shanghai Disneyland is bringing us an extra treat: a brand-new ticket option!
On March 16th, the $5.5 billion theme park announced its Spring Seasonal Pass. With the pass, visitors can enter and exit the Disneyland park as many times as they want between March 27th and July 16th. The prices for the pass vary according to age/height and visiting days. You can choose between visiting the park on weekdays, on Sundays, or on any day you’d like. If you bought the Winter Seasonal Pass you get a discount.
Check out the price table below:
Currently, the Spring Seasonal Passes are only available on Shanghai Disney’s official store with limited-time special pricing. On March 27th, they become available for purchase on the resort’s official WeChat account, the Shanghai Disney Resort Reservation Center, the Shanghai Disneyland Main Entrance ticket booths, and the resort’s official travel trade provider Ctrip.
Over the past year, the park’s popularity has fallen off thanks to complaints about long lines, expensive prices and uncivilized behavior. In its first six months, Shanghai Disneyland welcomed 5.6 million visitors. Not bad, but also not on track to reach its original goal of 15 million visitors over its first year.
With these passes and more warm weather around the corner, maybe they’ll be able to make up the margin.
