One 15-year-old kid had the worst day of his life on Monday after smashing into a Bentley parked on the side of the road in Zhengzhou with his scooter on the way home from school.
The accident shattered the Bentley’s side-view mirror and sent the teen tumbling to the street. Afterward, the driver of the Bentley got out to get the phone number of the boy’s father. He told the boy that he wanted to get the car repaired as quickly as possible and that the side-view mirror could cost 30,000 to 40,000 yuan to replace.
After watching the Bentley drive away into the distance, the boy burst into tears; not knowing what he was going to tell his father, a temporary worker in the city.
When his father finally called, he told his son not to worry about the accident and to let the adults handle it. After a few minutes, the boy hopped on his scooter and headed home.
“Whether you cry or not, it’s still a mistake. This little guy learned a valuable lesson on the road about growing up,” wrote one Weibo user.
“I hope the Bentley owner can take pity on this kid and just give him a lesson. Of course, he’s well within his rights to want compensation, I just hope he goes easy on him,” commented another.
