With nearly 100 vehicles stuck in a hellish traffic jam on a Xi’an highway on Saturday, some travelers decided to take to the street and recreate the opening scene from La La Land — though perhaps with not the same level of Oscar-winning choreography.
More than a dozen passengers on a long distance bus stepped out onto the freeway to perform some traditional Chinese square dancing. Later, passengers from other cars joined in on the impromptu dance party.
And got a conga line going.
This isn’t the first time that China’s infamous dancing aunties (and uncles) have taken advantage of a traffic jam to work on their moves. And it certainly won’t be the last either.
