[UPDATE: 4/28] This story has been updated with the latest reports, including that one female security guard was killed in the accident.
On Wednesday afternoon, three office workers were at the end of yet another boring day at work when without warning an SUV smashed through the wall.
A short 10-second video of the frightening incident has gone viral on Chinese social media today. It shows three men inside the office — one sitting on a couch, a second sitting at a desk and a third pacing around in the foreground. Suddenly, there is a loud squealing sound and moments later the wall bursts forward as an out of control SUV slams into it. The impact sends the man on the couch flying, while the man at the desk disappears in a cloud of dust, leaving only the man who had been standing up to wonder what the fuck just happened.

Here’s a few photos from directly afterward with the Land Cruiser still stuck inside the wall.
As the surveillance footage shows the crash took place just after 5 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon. The following day, a Beijing News reporter was able to track down the scene of the accident, discovering that it had occurred on the B2 level of the Huamao Shopping Center in Beijing at an office with one wall bordering an underground parking deck.
The reporter found that the huge hole in the wall had been covered up with a plank of wood. The door was locked and there was no one inside.
He then talked to a security guard at the parking lot and to others in the building who told him that none of the workers had been killed in the crash. Additionally, the owner of the Land Cruiser was also said not to have suffered any serious harm, though it’s not clear how the accident happened. The security guard said that currently the two parties are dealing with the matter privately along with the building’s management group.
Unfortunately, it has now been reported that someone was killed in the crash. In surveillance camera footage from the parking deck, a female security guard is seen attempting to avoid the out of control SUV, but instead running into the vehicle as it smashes through the wall.
According to the Beijing Evening News, the woman was declared dead at the scene by paramedics. Eyewitnesses have blamed the female driver of the Land Cruiser who was wearing high heels and allegedly stomped on the gas pedal rather than the brake while driving inside the parking garage.
