A video has gone viral on Chinese social media showing what happened when a company in Changzhou, Jiangsu province tried to giveaway some small gifts to the public.
Unsurprisingly, the event quickly morphed into a free-for-all with a contingent of local aunties and uncles trying to get their hands on whatever they could. Later, some chengguan officers attempted to step in and restore order, but could do little to stop the elderly crowd’s lust for towels and fertilizer.
Afterward, aunties and uncles were seen leaving the event carrying multiple bags full of the spoils of war.
“When fighting for things they are full of power, but on the bus they want everyone to give up their seats to them,” wrote one Weibo user.
