For the last two days, Beijing has been hit with severe winds as a massive sandstorm has engulfed the city, causing hundreds of flights at Beijing Capital International Airport to be either delayed or canceled. But on the bright side it did lead to this moment.
While standing in line waiting to board his plane, a passenger surnamed Wang suddenly had his ticket ripped from his hand by a gust of wind. Rather than just let the sandstorm take the ticket, Wang frantically dashed after the tiny piece of paper, finally catching up to it after running out 500 meters onto the airport’s apron. Later, Wang joked that in his pursuit he had likely broken his own personal record in the 100 meters.
Fortunately for us all, a fellow passenger managed to catch the incident on camera.
“With Beijing’s weather, I’m surprised he could see the ticket at all,” wrote one Weibo user.
