Over on the French Riviera, the 70th Cannes Film Festival is starting up, and you’ll never guess who’s on this year’s festival jury.
That’s right! Fan Bingbing, plastic surgery icon and one of the world’s highest paid actresses, will be on the eight-member jury along with Hollywood stars like Will Smith and Jessica Chastain. To kick off the festival, Fan took to the red carpet yesterday, classing the place up in a shiny blue gown.
Fan’s inclusion at Cannes helps to validate her appearance last month on TIME’s 100 Most Influential People of 2017 list. The actress was one of only four Chinese people to make on the list.
Last year, she starred in the highly-regarded Feng Xiaogang flick I Am Not Madame Bovary, as well as the fantasy epics L.O.R.D: Legend of Ravaging Dynasties and League of Gods. Oh, and Skiptrace, alongside Jackie Chan and Johnny Knoxville, so you can be confident that she knows good cinema.
