The crocodile kebab business in Shenyang is apparently a tough one with a vendor causing waves online and around town recently by taking one croc out for a walk in the hope that some passersby might find the animal appetizing.
Pedestrians were seen snapping photos of the crocodile on a leash yesterday night near the night market. While this might seem a bit demeaning for a prehistoric predator like the crocodile, this little guy at least has it much better than his friends who have been cut up into chunks and skewered onto sticks.
We first saw these croc kebabs back in 2016, priced at 20 yuan a skewer. Selling crocodile meat is perfectly legal in China with authorities deeming that reproductive technology for the species is developed enough to provide for human consumption.
So make sure to bite them first; before they bite you.
