While we aren’t fans of seeing kids peeing on streets, subways or stages, one man recently took things way too far, slapping an 8-year-old boy after noticing him urinating on the sidewalk.
Surveillance camera footage from May 29th shows the man walking down the sidewalk near a supermarket in Nantong, Jiangsu province, but wheeling around after spotting a kid peeing in public. The man, around 30 years old, then walks up and gives the kid a solid smack across the face.
That slap left the boy’s face red and swollen, causing his parents to report the incident to police. Officers have arrested the man who faces a fine of between 500 to 1,000 yuan.

However, far from being denounced online, Chinese netizens are instead cheering the man for teaching the poor kid a lesson.
“I want to give this man a thumbs up,” reads the top comment on one Weibo thread with over 2,000 likes.
“Although hitting people is not right, I can’t help but praise this man,” echoes another top comment.
“If his parents aren’t going to teach him, then society is,” writes another netizen who apparently wants to live in a society where strangers are free to assault children.
