A Hong Kong taxi driver has won fame online after demonstrating his command of the English language with an extremely colorful, profanity-laced tirade directed against a foreign pedestrian.
Video of the epic rant was shot at an intersection in Kowloon. According to the description under the video, it came after the foreign man hit the cabby’s taxi after the driver made a sharp turn while he was crossing the road. The video begins with the foreigner protesting that he was just “walking.”
“You walking? This is the road, pedestrians right there!” the cabby points. “You punch my car. You illegal! This not right. This is Hong Kong!”
The pedestrian then tries to get the driver to relax by telling him that he lives in the city.
“I don’t care if you live here. This is criminal!” the cabby replies before ending the altercation with a rich medley of curse words. “Holy shit. Fuck you, stupid ass! Go back to your country, motherfucker!”
After being uploaded to Facebook, the video went viral over the weekend with almost 200,000 views. Many web users joked that the video showed the importance of learning English with one netizen sarcastically sharing a photo from a government campaign aimed at improving HK residents’ English language skills.

And feel free to compare and contrast with the rant that one Canadian man went on against a Chinese grandpa earlier this month or the one that a Canadian woman directed against Chinese workers at a grocery store in Toronto, in which she told them to “Go back to China!”
