One man has been slapped with 15 days detention and a 1,000 yuan fine for slapping a train attendant in the face after she told him that there was no more room in the dining car.
The man, surnamed Wang, works for the local railway bureau in Gansu province. During a recent train trip, he reportedly told the attendant to find him a seat in the dining carriage, though he said that he didn’t actually want to eat anything. After the woman said that there were no seats available, he flew into a rage.
In a viral video, the irate man is seen arguing with attendants before shoving one of the stewardesses and slapping her across the face repeatedly, back and forth, with the sounds of the smacks ringing out across the carriage and the woman breaking down into tears.

For his assault on the woman, Wang has been given 15 days detention and a 1,000 yuan fine. Last week, video went viral of an auntie who slapped an airport worker in Shenyang across the face, resulting in a 200 yuan fine and 10 days in detention — though she didn’t manage to knock the smile off the guy’s face.
