Yesterday, on the way home from work, some unfortunate commuters in Wuhan were forced to share a subway carriage with an auntie peeling an entire batch of garlic.
When fellow passengers tried to reason with the woman, pointing out that perhaps the metro was not the best place to do her garlic peeling, the auntie simply muttered, “At home I’m too busy. I have no time.”
Eventually, one young man couldn’t stand it any longer and took out a plastic bag to begin sweeping up the garlic scraps that the woman had discarded on the carriage floor. When the auntie saw what was happening, she insisted that she would take care of it.
These days, it seems like everyone is trying to save a little time by multitasking on their commute.
