China’s obsession with all things glass-bottomed has gone from viewing platforms to bridges to slides and now on to water slides.
Recently, a 1,260-meter long water slide opened up in the mountains of Lingshou County in the hinterlands of Hebei province. The slide takes visitors in rafts for a scenic ride, dropping down a total of 100 meters. It’s much like any other water slide, but again, the bottom is made of glass!
Though we’re not exactly sure that that will make a whole lot of difference to riders.
Hey, it’s still a better idea than building a glass bridge over the Yellow River.
