Video footage has hit the Chinese internet which has managed to make netizens feel even more unsure about venturing onto their country’s roads.
The one-minute clip published by The Paper shows a toddler sitting on her father’s lap at the steering wheel of a car taking a joyride down a rural road, much to her parents’ amusement.
At one point the little girl turns to look at the camera, and her mother reminds her to “keep your eyes on the road” as her father turns her head back around. Later, the parents can be heard exhorting their toddler to drive “faster!” as she pushes away her dad’s attempts at front-seat driving.
Reportedly, the video was recorded on Friday in Guizhou’s Yanhe Tujia Autonomous County. It has raised a ruckus online with Weibo users accusing the couple of putting their child’s life at risk, not to mention the lives of innocent drivers and passersby.
Seriously, she’s not even wearing her seat belt!
Anyway, if this kid continues her driving lessons, she too will be stealing buses by the time that she’s 9 years old.
