Angels are officially set to return to Shanghai later this year to do what they do best — strut around in lacy underwear.
On November 28th, Shanghai will be hosting the annual Victoria’s Secret fashion show, an honor previously only known to cities like New York, London and Paris.
Around 50 models from around the world are set to attend the festivities, including Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Gigi Hadid, Lily Aldridge, Behati Prinsloo, and, we presume, all the Chinese models that the brand has under contract.
The Angels last visited our fair city in March when they helped to officially open the Chinese mainland’s first flagship Victoria’s Secret store. Over the last few years, Victoria’s Secret has opened up a number of beauty products and accessories stores around the country, but the company has now entered a new phase of selling its signature lingerie to China’s growing middle class.
Last year’s show in Paris featured more Chinese models and designs than ever before hitting the runway as, following years of setbacks, Victoria’s Secret is finally trying to bust out in the Middle Kingdom in a big way.
And, already, the brand appears to be catching on with the kids.
