China’s bike-sharing craze has caused yet another normally mild-mannered individual to snap with one woman proclaiming to the world that if she has to be inconvenienced, then so too shall everyone else.
On Saturday morning, bystanders shot video of the woman taking shared bikes that were crowding one Chengdu bus stop and placing them out on the road, telling onlookers that she wanted to make sure that everyone else felt her pain.
Reportedly, the woman was later taken away by police for her actions.
Over the past year, millions upon millions of shared bicycles have flooded the streets and sidewalks of China, annoying and inconveniencing pedestrians. It seems like every week there are more photos of massive “shared bike graveyards,” where officials have stored thousands of illegally parked bikes.
Still, there is only so much that city workers can do and some vigilantes have begun taking matters into their own hands to clean up China’s sidewalks.
