Mel B has finally got what she wanted as 9-year-old Hong Kong singing sensation Celine Tam has been eliminated from America’s Got Talent, failing to gather up enough fan votes to move on to the finals of the TV talent competition.
This week, Tam sang “How Far I’ll Go” from Disney’s Moana, receiving praise from Simon Cowell, but criticism, once again, from the former spice girl who called the performance “way too musical theater.”
After finding out that she had eliminated, Tam thanked her fans on Twitter.

Meanwhile, her fans expressed their dissatisfaction at the result and their hope that Tam would continue to reach for her dreams.
What a rip off for @celinetam . When is AGT going to go back to a talent show & not a sob story show? Celine should be in finals!

I counted you as one of the finalists. No way this should have happened. Good luck with everything! Keep singing! @TheEllenShow time to book

Tam gave four performances on America’s Got Talent, blowing the audience away each time with her big voice. In her first appearance, she told the judges that she had discovered that she had a talent for singing when her dad was playing “My Heart Will Go On” in the car and she started singing along.
Already, well-known back home in Hong Kong, performing at the National Day reception, Tam also tried her luck on Britain’s Got Talent in 2015.
Hey, there’s always India’s Got Talent?
