In this accelerated, ever-hectic world, you never know when you might finally snap. For one woman in Nanjing, that moment came when she missed her metro train earlier this month.
Video has gone viral on Chinese social showing the woman in mid-mental breakdown, spinning around the metro station platform babbling: “I have the looks of an angel and the body of a devil. Ah, ah, ah…”
Station attendants try to get the woman to calm down, instead she starts rolling on the floor, shouting: “They are always mortals!”
Finally, authorities were able to get the woman under control, bring her to a back room, give her back the clothes that she stripped off and call up her family.
A police officer told reporters that the woman had been walking through the metro station with a co-worker, but that they had become separated by the teeming rush hour crowds. When the woman was unable to make it onto the subway train, she apparently lost control of her mind.
The woman’s family said that she had recently been dealing with a lot of stress at work and had also been having relationship problems with her boyfriend.
