An Israeli expat was spotted over the weekend at Beijing’s marriage market, looking for the one for his son.
According to NetEase, the father has been working in Beijing for years at an investment company. He says that he loves China, loves Beijing and hopes that his son, who also works in Beijing, will be able to find a Chinese girl to marry. To help him on his way, the dad decided to pay a visit to Zhongshan Park on Sunday with a sign listing all the pertinent details about his son.
For those interested, his son is described as 23 years old, 182 cm in height, a graduate of Peking University and his salary is listed at 80,000 yuan — though it’s not clear if that’s per year… or per month.
Well, it just so happens that his son is actually a popular blogger in China with some 286,000 followers on Weibo. Meanwhile, the father is Amir Gal-or, the founder of Israel-based Infinity Equity, which manages some 10 billion RMB in China. So, we’re going to go out on a limb here and say that his son probably wouldn’t have that hard of a time finding a girlfriend by himself.
If this is just a stunt, then it certainly wouldn’t be the first at a marriage market in China. Earlier this year, an American woman in a wedding dress caused quite a stir at Shanghai’s marriage market, holding up a sign offering US citizenship to the highest bidder.
