Mulan – Shadow Play @ Ciro’s Performing Arts Theater
Shanghai Puppet Theater puts on the timeless fable “Mulan,” a story about a girl who disguises herself as a man and goes to war in place of her elderly father. This shadow play version includes stunning sets, sentimental music, and fantasy elements combined with filmmaking techniques and modern visual effects that breathe fresh life into an age-old art form.

Chang Chung-Li Panpipe Concert @ Shanghai Concert Hall
Since he was 12, Chang Chung-Li has been winning awards for his pan-pipe abilities. Since then he has released 16 albums and was a guest performer with the Taiwanese Orchestra. Chung-Li will play a show at the Shanghai Concert Hall that features a number of pan-pipe interpretations of classic songs, such as Disney’s “Under The Sea” and “Once Upon a Time in America.”
