It combines the artistic and the business aspects of running a fashion brand and gives the audience a glimpse into the designer’s world, helping people understand the interactions between operating within an industry as a business and within the fashion world as a designer and artist.

Tang Junqiao Bamboo Flute Orchestra @ Shanghai Symphony Hall
Tang Junqiao is a renowned player and educator of the bamboo flute, a professor and tutor of graduate students at Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and the president of the Bamboo Flute Professional Committee of the Shanghai Musician Association. She has performed traditional Chinese music for more than 30 foreign state leaders, and is the only Chinese player of folk music who has been invited to regularly play with world famous institutes like New York Philharmonic, BBC Symphony Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, and Bamberg Symphony.

Comedy of Kurt Dunsing @ Cages

13th JZ Festival Shanghai @ Expo Park
More than 40 bands from China and 20 different countries are slated to perform at the 13th JZ fest. Headliners include Chucho Valdés, Kool & The Gang, Andy Summers and the Blue Falcons, Chris Dave and the Drumhedz, and Jeff Lorber Fusion. Other confirmed artists are Nils Landgren Funk Unit, one of the very best funk bands in Europe, Australian-born Chinese trumpet player Toby Mak, Tina May, one of the finest jazz vocalists in the UK, Theo Croker, resident at Shanghai’s House of Blues, and China’s most awarded trumpet player Li Xiaochuan.
