Yet another toddler has demonstrated the fortunate resilence of Chinese children.
Surveillance footage from a residential neighborhood in Henan’s Xinmi county on October 8th, shows a 2-year-old boy wandering around alone in a parking lot. The kid tries to avoid a turning SUV, but instead ends up running straight in front of it.
He is run over, with his body crushed by both a front and back tire.
However, surprisingly, immediately afterward the boy pops back to his feet and hurries home.
In an interview with a reporter, the boy’s mother said that she had left her child alone for just one minute to go get the key to lock the door. When she next saw him, he was rushing up to her crying. She believed that he had simply slipped and fell.
In no time, the boy fell asleep. When he awoke, he told his mom what had happened.
After watching video of her little boy being run over, the woman says she was horrified, believing that kids did not survive that kind of accident. However, at the hospital, doctors found nothing seriously wrong with the toddler.
Meanwhile, the driver has been caught and police are investigating the case.
Over the years, we’ve seen a disturbing number of videos showing young children popping right back after getting run over. Unfortunately, not every unsupervised child is so lucky.
