A video of a police dog dozing off during its break has gone viral on Chinese social media.
According to a Nanjing Metro police officer, the dog’s name is “Galei” (which roughly translates to “loud lightning”). Recently, Galei has seen his work hours increase, patrolling from 7 am to 7 pm each day — which explains why the poor doggie might be trying to catch a few winks.
Usually, after work, the officers would play with Galei for a bit, but now, he just goes right to bed after work. The officers said that they feel sorry Galei is so tired. But, who knows what sort of nefarious instruments would get on the subway without the canine’s vigilance?
