Goldberg Variations – ternary patterns for insomnia @ Shanghai Concert Hall
Jonathan Morton of the Scottish Ensemble and Örjan Andersson of Andersson Dance have come together to recreate one of Bach’s most well-knownr works. With 11 musicians and five dancers in harmony, the audience perceives musician and dancer performing as one, casting a 21st-century light on the notes and the spaces between them.

This puppet show is drawn from the ancient fairy tale “Smash the Mountain to Save the Mother.” An angel falls in love with a human and together they have a son. But the Jade Emperor finds out and punishes her by trapping her under Mountain Hua. Determined to save his mother. the son embarks on a treacherous journey to save her.
