A 3D glass bridge opened recently in Zhongwei, Ningxia Province, drawing huge flocks of tourists. 2.6 meters wide and 210 meters long, the bridge is suspended just 10 meters above the surface of the Yellow River, dubbed China’s “Mother River.”
Composed of 61 pieces of normal transparent glass and 77 pieces of 3D glass, the bridge creates a polarizing experience for visitors, who depending on their disposition might either enjoy the view of the water rushing beneath their feet, or alternatively fear the sensation of falling into the river created by the 3D illusions.
