Paul Smith Afternoon Tea @ Pudong Shangri-La
In collaboration with “Hello, My Name is Paul Smith’ exhibition, the pastry chefs at Pudong Shangri-La’s Lobby Lounge dreamt up an afternoon tea inspired by the British designer. The man, apparently, is all prawn mango tobiko sandwich, peach and strawberry choux pastry, and classic scone. Served with a choice of tea or coffee.

Ship of Dreams: The Titanic Experience @ No. 8 Captain Sailer Wharf
This immersive and interactive experience couples the mystery and excitement of the recent touring show “Sleep No More” with high adventure on the waters of the Huangpu on an actual ship. Guests will play both factual and fictional characters who were on the Titanic’s only journey, and performers will act out scenarios that you can either observe or participate in. Using a combination of physical theatre, mime, song, dance, and light, the story of familiar Titanic characters weaves together dancing, singing, mysterious plots of intrigue and conspiracy, love, romance, and an ultimate dash for survival.

Peter Brook’s Battlefield @ Shanghai Theater Academy
Legendary British director Peter Brook’s colossal 1985 production of “The Mahabharata” is hailed as one of the greatest and most memorable theatrical productions of all time. Now based in France, Brook comes together with frequent collaborators Marie-Helene Estienne and Jean-Claude Carriere to once again take inspiration from this sweeping epic poem of ancient India.

Beernanza @ Okura Garden Hotel
Beernanza Beer Festival returns on November 3 to 5 for its third edition. With a theme of “Enter The Jungle,” the event will see more than 150 different craft beers from China and around the world spread over the Okura Garden Hotel. Music will be provided by over 40 different bands and DJs over three stages, and there will be private home-brew classes available for ¥320.
