Where to go, what to do on November 27 in Shanghai.
Mariinsky Ballet and Orchestra: Cinderella @ Shanghai Grand Theatre
Alexei Ratmansky, the world’s most influential ballet-maker, has revitalized the classic ballet Cinderella with urbane sophistication and modern storytelling. He breathes new life into Prokofiev’s ballet, weaving together an array of different styles and echoing the complexities of the composer’s score. What results is a fresh and modern account of the classic fairytale, with stunning performances from both the Mariinsky dancers and Mariinsky Orchestra.
