As expected, Barack Obama paid Xi Jinping a visit earlier this week in Beijing with the two old compadres discussing US-China relations in familiarly broad terms, though we have to imagine that they also must have addressed the orange elephant in the room.
According to a Xinhua report about the meeting which took place on Wednesday, Xi praised Obama for promoting China-US relations during his presidency; stressed the need for the two nations to safeguard world peace and stability; called for enhanced communication, exchanges and cooperation between the superpowers; and even gave the former president a rundown of the 19th Party Congress.
Meanwhile, Obama, who is on a 5-day world tour, apparently said that he “appreciated China’s development achievements” and promised to continue playing “a positive role in promoting mutual understanding, exchanges, and cooperation between the two countries,” Xinhua reported.
But come on, you can’t possibly expect us to believe that they just talked in empty platitudes the entire time. Feel free to speculate on what discussion topics did not make the Xinhua report.
I'm going with "And he actually tweeted that?"

"Hey Barry, how's the Asian Pivot working out for you Americans?"
"My dear Jinping, the Little Rocket Man hasn't been too friendly to you either, right?

“Obama and Xi share a laugh as they agree Marx was right about capitalism” would be a fun Fox News / Breitbart headline… https://t.co/K6t3VK0kgp
