The 4th Annual Fish Ball Festival in Fuzhou has gone down as likely the greatest fish ball festival to date thanks to the unveiling of the largest fish ball in recorded human history.
Fuzhou happens to be known for its special fish balls, which are made of minced pork wrapped up in fish paste. This particular behemoth of a fish ball weighed in at a whopping 128 kg with a diameter of 66.8 centimeters.
The thing took an entire month to complete, requiring the skill of four master fish ball makers and six assistant.
As you might expect, the gargantuan ball of fish and pork drew in huge crowds of amazed onlookers. Perhaps it might also pique your interest to go out and try some Fuzhou fish balls for yourself, regular-sized ones, of course.
The fish ball was weighed by theWorld Record Certification, a group that is based in London, but appears to do most of its business in China, appearing at record-breaking events which might be considered beneath that of Guinness observers—like say the farthest someone has pulled a helicopter with their penis.
It’s not clear what the world’s largest fish ball was before this one.
