Last weekend, news of Sun’s winning bid in the annual charity auction reached Wang Sicong, the playboy offspring of one of China’s wealthiest real estate tycoons who is known for regularly trading online insults with A-list celebs and flaunting his own tremendous wealth as “China’s richest son.”
On June 8th, Wang shared an article on his social media account about Sun’s upcoming lunch with Buffett, prefaced with the comment: “Isn’t that a stupid cunt.”
Soon, Sun shot back on Weibo with a diss of his own, essentially calling Wang a “daddy’s boy.”
“I rely on myself, you rely on your father. I’m post-90s, you’re post-80s. I run a successful company, your live-streaming platform went bankrupt. How can you scold me?” he wrote.
The two actually have a history of exchanging insults online. Five years ago, Wang wrote on Weibo that Bitcoin was just a “swindle” and that people buying were fools. Sun replied that Wang was not gaofushuai 高富帅, a three-word description for the perfect man as being tall, wealthy, and handsome, as he was neither gao nor shuai.
