Chinese netizens are arguing for one train station ticket seller’s promotion after he fended off a particularly persistent line-cutter.
In video from the railway station in the Jilin city of Changchun, the worker is seen telling off the woman who tries to skip in front of a whole line of people to buy tickets. “No one else here has said anything. Why should you?” the woman asks.
“When I see someone like you cut in line. I get angry,” the worker responds. When she insists that she is in a hurry, he tells her to go away.
The woman is then met with the same response when she tries again to cut in line with the worker telling her to “save some face” and “have some self-respect.”
“So what if I have no shame?” the woman shouts. “Then there’s nothing I can do to help,” he quips back, telling her to “act like a human” after she calls him a “shabi.”
