What's that joyful noise? It's the sound of people shrieking upon hearing the news that immaculately cheek-boned frontman Brett Anderson (last in Shanghai for a solo gig in 2010) and his reunited Suede band chums will be performing at a venue near you! Currently on their first Asian tour since 2003, the band will be performing in Shanghai for only the second time ever, at the Shanghai Grand Stage (recently host to fellow UK pop-chart veterans The Cranberries) next Tuesday, August 9th.

Wowee it's looking sparse this week! Shanghai summers straight up kill the music. Britpop comes to China Part Two: Shanghaiist Interview Mani
British rock legend, Mani, a member of The Stone Roses and now of Freebase and Primal Scream, comes to Shanghai this evening (Friday April 16th) for the first gig of a two stop China tour. Mani will be supporting Puressence, another UK act also from the city of Manchester, with a dj set at Shanghai's Mao Livehouse this evening.
Interview: Puressence brings Britpop to China
Two big acts are coming to Shanghai’s Mao Livehouse this Friday (April 16th). Hailing from the UK, Puressence and Mani (Gary Mounfield), of Stone Roses and Primal Scream fame, are visiting China for the first time on a two stop, two-gig tour of Shanghai and Beijing.
