Another day, another rich drunk idiot crashing their expensive cars into shit and expecting clemency. This time the deed happened in Guangzhou, when a drunk 30-something woman drove her Porsche the wrong way down a one way street, smacked a taxi cab, then began verbally harassing the occupants before telling police "I know city leaders!"

You've no doubt seen the exploits of Brother Tricycle, Brother Running and Brother Train. Now you can add Brother Gymnast, a motorcycle rider in Wenzhou who flipped 360 degrees in the air and landed on his feet when his bike crashed into a small truck.

Take a walk down Panyu (Fanyu) Lu from the Film Art Centre and you will soon pass by the SH508 restaurant. It occupies a slaughtered renovated colonial mansion adorned with a huge neon sign. Unknown to the proprietors, reviewers and most of the customers, this is actually the former family home of British writer J.G. Ballard.

The Chinese-made Brilliance BS6 sedan, currently being sold in the European market, splendidly failed a German 40mph frontal crash test. Reuters said:

The video seems to be of Russian provenance, and when we looked it up, we found that the Chery Amulet is indeed sold in Russia and from the looks of it, has been for a couple of years. The China Daily reports that Chery is going to enter the US market in late 2007. Geely, another Chinese automaker and rival of Chery, is also set to make its debut in the US market in 2008 or 2009. That article has several quotes from Malcolm Bricklin, the man who brought the Yugo to the US and is now helping these Chinese automakers break into the US market. Bricklin said "he was willing and eager to help Geely succeed in the United States through his 50 years of experience in the auto industry.":
