Denmark's Little Mermaid now at the Shanghai Expo

The Little Mermaid will now be calling Shanghai home for the next few months -- we all knew that. And what's taking over her empty space back in Copenhagen? Not the 'modern Chinese interpretation' that they promised us before (that would have been one to watch!), but a video installation by Ai Weiwei that will include a live broadcast of the mermaid on holiday in Shanghai and admired by hordes of curious Chinese people.

A last-minute add to the program over at JZ, the Copenhagen-based group called Jazz Kamikaze who have been getting rave reviews will be playing this thursday night at JZ Club.
