Watch: Chinese breakdancers play with kung fu archetypes
We thought this was another average breakdancing video, until things get kind of hilarious at 0:33 in the video. Calling themselves the "Snake Men" (人间蛇男), we have to give the duo credit for being a pretty tight unit, and for incorporating a plastic deck chair into their act at 1:40 in the clip.

We absolutely insist you try to make it out in support of them wherever possible. Not only will you be supporting disadvantaged youth from a struggling township, but going by last year, you're guaranteed plenty of rhythm, dance, and fun.

Photos: Shanghai's first Fête de la Musique was une soirée fantastique
Shanghai's inaugural Fête de la Musique went down this past weekend, and what little we did manage to catch of the free music fest was sensational. Watch: 700 kids in rural Chongqing dance to Michael Jackson's "Dangerous"
Chongqing party chief Bo Xilai may have replaced prime-time television dramas with communist propaganda and assembled thousands of people to sing red songs with him, but here at the local primary school in Duping Village of Chongqing's Wushan Town, it's Michael Jackson the kids are dancing to. Every morning 10am, students at Duping Primary School will assemble in neat rows on their school field, set amid the verdant hills of rural Chongqing, and move to the King of Pop's Dangerous as part of their daily calisthenics routine. Here's the scene on a recent morning:

Jin Xing Dance Theatre and the concept of beauty: an intense joyride of dance, dance, dance
Jin Xing herself greeted the audience from upstage in the wide theatre. The auditorium was barely half filled, but that didn't bother the choreographer, "I'm interested in quality not quantity. Ten years ago when my company performed in this exact theatre, the room was filled. Back then I gave away tickets to everyone, so it was easy to fill it up. Now, I don´t give away one single ticket, no one from the government gets anything, cause I love quality of the audience!"
