After drawing record crowds to their high-octane romp at last year's Shanghai World Expo closing ceremony, Paperdoll is back to break up the tranquility in the Middle Kingdom once again. New York's premier indie dance-pop band will stop off at Yuyintang this Wedneday on their new NY2CN: Can't Stop It!!! tour.

Midweek Music Preview: Neil Young, Escape Route and Triassic Park
Shanghaiist lists all the live music performances you might want to check out from now until Sunday this week. For fun things that aren't live music, take a peek at our Pencil This In (out every Monday!)
Our interest is piqued: Modular Launch Party
Sometimes it feels like Shanghai is getting too cool for even us. Australian record label Modular Records - responsible for unearthing talents like Cut Copy, Wolfmother and The Presets - is launching a division here in this city. Basically, that means we can count on a sudden increase in indie-dance-rock booty shaking in the near future.
Videos: TooKoo at LOgO STD Party
After Windows Underground, we wanted to check out Anar but were turned away at the door because we weren't exclusive enough. Good for us, we walked down the street to LOgO and caught Beijing dance rock band, TooKoo in the heat of action. They sang entirely in English and gave an excellent show that got the crowd all riled up and hysterical.
