In a bid to boost the capital's blood supplies, Beijing Municipal Health Bureau has announced that the amount of blood university students donate will affect their academic grades. Shanghai residents: Donate your unneeded bikes to charity!
Moving from Shanghai and don't know what to do with the Giant you bought a couple months ago? Managed to keep a bike from getting stolen long enough for you to want a new one? If you're one of the lucky ducks who find themselves with more bikes than they need, why not give it to charity? The Shanghai Healing Home, a charity dedicated to helping children with cleft palates, recently moved locations. They're now looking for seven bikes that can help their Ayis get to the new area. So, in case you've got one, please do help them out! Email Sarah Vasey, their volunteer coordinator, at francoisevasey (at) gmail (dot) com.

The only thing more overwhelming than the ostentatious nature of the visit (see flag-draped escort, flag-pinned suits, Mao-esque poses above) is how genuinely impressive it is.
Studs, the city of Shanghai wants your sperm!
If you are a local Chinese man who has successfully impregnated your wife without any help from the doctor -- there's probably a grand total of five of you reading this, but anyhow -- the Shanghai Sperm Bank wants to study your jism.
