The recent flooding by Typhoon Morakot had some incredibly tragic consequences, but we're glad we were able to find this little piece to laugh at. In one of the flooded cities around China, one group of victims decided that the new river Morakot created was a great place to practice racing their dragon boats.

International dragon boat match in Hangzhou

Our neighboring city Hangzhou's Xixi Wetlands played host this last weekend to the finals of the Hangzhou Xixi International Dragon Boat Match.

Dragonboat fest warehouse party location

You've probably heard by now, but the people behind the mysterious warehouse party have revealed themselves: It's the guys from VOID! The party starts at 11pm and is located at 2/f, 600 Guilin Lu Near Qinzhou Bei Lu (next door to the bathhouse). (2/f, 600 桂林路 宜山路和吴中路中间). Here's the Google map link. Apparently worried that nobody would believe this party was real, the mysterious hosts of that mysterious warehouse party invited us to check out the venue - as long as we promised not to tell who they were or where it was.

Things you can do: meet up with fellow music-lovers tonight, watch the Suzhou Creek Dragon boat competition before heading off to what's bound to be a super interesting talk on Shanghai writer Eileen Chang on Thursday, and maybe even go to a fashion show on Friday!
