The NBA Finals MVP and seven-time NBA All-Star Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat is in Shanghai to take part in a streetball competition tomorrow night at Luwan Stadium, featuring S.K.Y Streetball Syndicate against Street China. Though Wade won't be stepping on the court in Shanghai (contract stipulations often have stringent rules about offseason play), acting only as Street China's coach, there'll still be plenty of dope dribble-drives and an abundance of broken ankles: S.K.Y Streetball Syndicate is composed of And 1 Mixtape Tour veterans like Spyda, AO, Pat Da Roc, Mr. 720, I'll Be Right Back and T-Dub.

On our way to the gym yesterday morning, still a little groggy, we got off the subway one stop too early. But at Shaanxi Nan Lu, we saw the attached advertisement. It's probably been up for several weeks now, but we have been out of town — and we don't normally get off at the wrong stop.

The Chinese may stuff the All-Star ballot box for Yao Ming, but they would rather wear his teammate's jersey. When asked about his popularity in China, Houston Rockets guard Tracy McGrady said he wasn't surprised at all. "I've got a lot of love over there in China," he said.
