We hope this will ease the squeeze in downtown Shanghai: "More than 4.4 million residents will be encouraged to move to the suburbs in 2020 after the city government pledged to build seven new towns with full public service facilities and more job opportunities, the city's urban planner revealed yesterday." Shanghai has announced plans to invest 400 billion yuan 40 billion yuan into its tourism industry during the next five-year plan. City police have now issued a warning reminding companies that keeping large amounts of cash on their premises may not be a good idea. Shanghai has seen a 35% rise in thefts of local areas since February, compared to the same period last year. The most robbed districts: Qingpu, Pudong, Fengxian, Songjiang and Jiading.
