Watch: Insane brawl between Georgetown Uni and Bayi Rockets

With just nine minutes left in the fourth quarter of a friendly basketball match between Georgetown University and Bayi Rockets, an insane brawl erupted between the two teams at the Olympic Sports Center Stadium in Beijing yesterday. The match was part of a series of goodwill events scheduled to coincide with U.S. Vice President Joe Biden's visit, but fortunately, Biden was not present at this match. Watch: Passengers get punchy on Beijing Metro Line 1

At 10:30pm on the evening of July 31st, passengers on a Beijing Metro Line 1 subway train reverted to all-out fisticuffs, as opposed to the finger-pointing and shouting that usually occurs during public arguments in China. The incident occurred when the train was stopped at Line 1's Sihui Station (四惠站), and apparently began as a result of passengers fighting for seats. Perhaps a move to post 'Enter at your own risk' signs at subway entrances in catfight-happy cities like Beijing and Shanghai wouldn't be such a bad idea. more ›

Crazy laowai gets hammered on the Guangzhou subway

Crazy laowai gets hammered on the Guangzhou subway

A male foreigner received a beating from bystanders on the Guangzhou subway recently for his obnoxious behaviour. Before he boarded the train, said eyewitnesses, the man had had a knife confiscated at security checkpoint. On the train, he began yelling at other passengers, calling them prostitutes, and flipping the bird at them. Later on in the altercation, a young Chinese woman who speaks English stepped in to try to talk some sense into the young man, but he would not listen, flipping her cell phone out of her hands, at which point a male passenger totally lost it -- and began attacking him. The incident ended at the next station when the foreigner took his belongings and got off the train.
