Four toddler deaths in Shanghai from HFMD, all of them migrant children

The latest death in a sudden epidemic of hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) in Shanghai happened on Tuesday, when a three-year-old girl - originally from Jiangsu Province - was taken to a hospital in the morning with high fever and died later that night. Her kindergarten's classes has been halted to prevent the disease from spreading. Like the three previous deaths, she was a migrant child. In the first five months of this year, Shanghai saw a 150% rise in HFMD, with 90% of the patients under five years old. more ›

today we went to the restaurant downstairs and finally took a picture of this gem in the menu (which i dont think neither of us would have the courage to taste). and just now i found out that this same virus is actually lethal and killing children in anhui province. not nice.
